The tight end shift creates a trips left formation and leaves a wide receiver isolated on the playside.

The ball is coming out rather quickly as the Bears are blitzing with a blindside free rusher.

Chris Godwin is running a comeback route and the stop and go creates space between him and the defensive back.  

Mayfield is getting the ball out before Godwin can turn around.  Once he does the football is there and on his face mask for a 16 yard gain on third down.  Pre snap adjustments, poise in the pocket, timing and anticipation from Mayfield.

Shotgun - Slot - TE/Flex Wing - 11 Personnel

The Buccaneers shift the tight end behind the B gap into the flex wing position.

Chris Godwin is the split end on the right side and runs a deep in route.  The play action draws in both linebackers and creates space up the middle.

The tight end coming out of the flex wing position goes out on a route; getting the attention of the linebacker and leaving more space behind him for the receivers to work.

The post route from Trey Palmer keeps the safety on him and allows a tight window for Godwin.  Once again the ball is coming out before Godwin can make his break.  Mayfield delivers a strike in the face of interior pressure, putting the ball on the face mask in stride for a big pick-up and a first down.   Pre snap adjustments, reading the defense, poise in the pocket, timing, anticipation and accuracy from Mayfield.

Mayfield has the split end motion to the inside, leaving Trey Palmer as the X receiver.

The slot receiver running to the flat gets the attention of the defensive back covering Palmer.  The defensive back stays down and Palmer gets behind him up the sideline for a big gain on third down.  Pre snap adjustments, reading the defense, touch and accuracy from Mayfield.

Mike Evans is going out on a corner route on this play.  The football is coming out before he can turn and track it.

The deep ⅓ defender initially looks to be passing Evans off to the Safety who is too far to make an impact on the play.  Once he sees the ball going in his direction he flips his hips and follows Evans who has about three yards of separation and racing for the goal line.  Evans then stretches out his arms for a perfectly placed 32 yard touchdown pass.  Pre snap adjustments, reading the defense, anticipation, timing, touch and accuracy from Mayfield.
