Zone coverage with a squat defender. The offense is in a balanced formation with a wide receiver motion to the strong side. The defense is in a dime package with one defensive back playing catch technique against the motioning receiver. The two outside defensive backs are playing bail while the other weak side defensive back is creeping up pre snap and blitzing from depth. The lone linebacker is playing the run or sitting back in zone for the pass. The free safety is dropping back with the strong safety sitting in zone.

In this instance the offense features a speedy wide receiver core. The defense has 6 defensive backs to account for this extra speed despite the fact that the offense is in 11 personnel. The two perimeter defensive backs are giving a cushion to the split ends while the squat defender will ideally disrupt the route and timing of the motioning receiver. Having two high safeties will bring the necessary safety help over the top. The blitzing defensive back from the weak side will speed up the quarterback progression and force the pocket to move if it's a pass.
